Costs, fixed rate, paid extras
No agent handling fee, by Tomebuy's own Service & Fees page
Read 2026-10-21. Tomebuy spells out what a total actually adds up to: what the seller charges, what the international leg costs once a line is picked, and what customs takes at the border. The seller-side figure already folds in getting the parcel from the seller to Tomebuy's own warehouse.
No service fee sits on top of that chain for the core shopping-agent function. What is not free is anything in the paid extras list below, and the roughly 8 RMB customs declaration charge per parcel, which Tomebuy notes can vary by shipping method.
A fixed rate, not a live market feed
Read from Tomebuy's own checkout settings on 2026-10-21. There is no published explanation for how it is set or how often it changes.

Priced add-ons, straight from the Help Centre
These four are published in plain yuan prices on Tomebuy's Value-Added Services help article, read 2026-10-21, separate from the unpriced line-haul and freight figures this site will not publish (see the freight page for why).

Two of the four have ordering quirks worth knowing before you pay: priority handling is charged per order and promises processing within four working hours of the relevant platform's business day, and the storage extension is sold in fixed 100-day blocks, so one unit always adds 100 days regardless of how close to the deadline you buy it.
Card through PayPal's channel, or account balance
From the International Credit Card page, read 2026-10-21.
Tomebuy's published payment route for international cards runs through a PayPal-provided card channel, meaning you do not need a PayPal account yourself, only a card PayPal's processing accepts. The alternative is paying from account balance, which you top up in yuan through the member centre; that balance is also where any refund, coupon, or withdrawal activity settles before it reaches your card or bank account.
Tomebuy's published pages do not list a broader set of payment methods beyond that card channel and the account-balance route, so if your preferred payment method is not a card PayPal's channel accepts, check with Tomebuy support directly before assuming it is supported.
A worked total, using Tomebuy's own formula
Three line items, by Tomebuy's own Service & Fees page: what the item costs, what the international leg costs, and what customs takes. Plugging in real figures from elsewhere on this site:
| Line item | What it covers | Figure |
|---|---|---|
| Item cost | What the seller charges, warehouse drop-off already folded in | Set by the seller, varies per listing |
| International shipping | Billed on chargeable weight once a line is chosen at checkout | No public rate card, see the freight page |
| Customs charge | Declaration cost per parcel | About RMB 8, per Service & Fees |
| Value-added extras | Optional: extra photos, priority handling, storage extension, fragile wrap | 2 to 20 yuan depending on the service |
A few ways Tomebuy says shipping coupons show up
From the Account Assets help article, read 2026-10-21.
Tomebuy's Help Centre names a registration invite code and periodic community activities as ways to pick up shipping coupons, on top of whatever promotions it is running at a given time. It does not publish a fixed coupon value anywhere this site could verify, so treat any coupon amount you are offered at sign-up or during checkout as the number that applies, not a figure to expect in advance.
Balance withdrawal: 10 to 15 days, sometimes more

Tomebuy's own FAQ quotes 10 to 15 working days for a balance refund or withdrawal to reach your original payment method, then widens that to 10 to 25 working days once it accounts for your card-issuing bank's own processing time. Plan around the wider figure if the timing matters.
