The agent

Why this agent

The baseline every storefront like this shares

The same three jobs, under different branding

Worth saying plainly so the next section reads as a real comparison rather than a sales pitch: buying on your behalf, inspecting at a warehouse, and arranging international freight is the core job of every storefront in this category, not a Tomebuy invention.

This page answers why choose Tomebuy specifically, not just what the category of agent it belongs to does.

Pasting a listing link instead of creating a seller account yourself, a free-storage window before goods ship onward, a per-order photo set before international freight, and billing freight by the larger of actual or volumetric weight: all of that is standard across this category of agent, Tomebuy included. None of that list settles the question of Tomebuy versus a competitor.

What looks specific to Tomebuy

Four entry methods and a documented order-to-parcel sequence

Tomebuy's Shopping Agent Guide, read on 26 October 2026, describes link import, keyword search, image search and DIY Orders. These are useful ways to start the same task: identify an item precisely enough for a buying request. They do not guarantee availability or acceptance.

When a normal listing link is unavailable

For an item found through an image or an unsupported source, a manual request can carry the seller details, specification and quantity for confirmation. Use it to resolve what is being purchased before paying. If an image search produces several similar products, compare the original sellers and dimensions; a visual match is not proof of the same product or material.

When a question needs to stay with the order

The guide names Contact on the Orders page for purchasing questions. That is useful for a size change, a missing option or a seller's price adjustment, because the discussion can refer to the particular purchase. Keep the agreed specification with the order instead of expecting a general support chat or a catalogue bookmark to change it automatically.

When several items are ready to ship

The documented sequence separates stored-item selection, packing and parcel tracking. For a bag and two garments, inspect the received items first, identify any unresolved issue, then choose what goes into the shipment. Ask how protective packing affects dimensions before assuming the consolidated box is cheaper. Actual route eligibility and the final freight quote must come from Tomebuy.

These benefits depend on the work you need. Someone who already pays sellers directly may only need forwarding; someone buying a time-sensitive replacement may prefer a local seller. This is a service-fit comparison, not a claim that Tomebuy is universally cheaper or faster.

No handling fee on the core service

Its Service & Fees page states the total cost formula directly: item cost, international shipping, and customs charges, with no separate agent fee layered on top. Optional value-added services are priced separately and listed in yuan.

A flat, named customs declaration charge

Roughly RMB 8 per parcel, stated on the same page, rather than left as an unstated variable.

Four ways to submit a product

Direct link, keyword search, image search, or the DIY Orders form for platforms outside its direct integrations, covering more entry points than a link-paste-only storefront.

A named video-reward programme

Tomebuy's Tutorial page offers a cash reward, up to 100% of order and shipping cost, for users who film and share a review of their own order. That is an unusual incentive to publish openly, whatever you make of it.

When a different agent is the better fit

Said plainly, because a one-sided page is not useful to anyone

  • If a firm storage deadline matters to you, Tomebuy's own pages disagree with themselves by a factor of three (60, 90, or 180 days); an agent that states one unambiguous number is easier to plan a long trip or a slow-moving order around. See the storage page for the full breakdown.
  • If you want a published freight-price calculator you can check before committing, Tomebuy does not currently offer one publicly; you will not know the international shipping cost until the order is in its warehouse and you are at the checkout step.
  • If a video walkthrough of the ordering process matters to you, we have not verified an official one; the manifest page uses the available written guide instead.
  • If your item needs a documented function test, not just an appearance check, on electronics or appliances, Tomebuy's own Inspection Information page explicitly excludes that from its QC scope.
How to check any of this yourself

Tomebuy's own pages, not this site's word for it

Every claim above traces back to one of this site's own source-cited pages, each one naming the specific Tomebuy policy page and the date it was read. That is deliberate: a claim about a competitor that cannot be traced back to the competitor's own words is not useful to a reader deciding where to place an order, it is just marketing copy with a different logo on it.

Where Tomebuy's published policy goes deeper than a one-line promise

A useful guide still needs order-specific confirmation

The acquired nine-step guide is detailed enough to show where to contact the buyer, select warehouse goods and follow the parcel. Its storage and QC-photo numbers still differ from other Tomebuy pages. Ask for the deadline and included inspection set attached to your order; the existence of a detailed guide does not resolve those conflicts.

The guide also promotes rewards for review videos. Treat any rewarded review as a disclosed individual account, not an independent service audit. For any future account, look for actual charges, destination, route, dates and original order photos rather than a broad recommendation.

Use the Spreadsheet comparison steps to prepare a requirement and budget, then use the official support routes for the account-specific answers that a public guide cannot supply.

  • The consolidation example on the freight page is a full worked calculation with real figures, not just a line saying combining parcels saves money.
  • The volumetric-weight formula is published with all four common carrier divisors named, rather than left as an unexplained “weight-based pricing applies” note.
  • The after-sale exclusion list on the storage page spells out specific categories (custom-made items, intimate apparel, food, opened packaging) instead of a vague “conditions apply”.
